Residents in all five boroughs can access free energy-efficient upgrades through the EmPower+ program offered by the state of New York. More than 5,000 households in the area have already benefited from this initiative.
How NYSERDA EmPower+ Works
The EmPower program is open to homeowners and renters, ensuring it's accessible to all. Eligible individuals won't face any expenses for energy-related home improvements, such as insulation, energy-efficient appliance upgrades, lighting, HVAC upgrades, and more. These upgrades come at no cost to those meeting income eligibility requirements.
